Dear Senator ______

I’m writing to respectfully urge you to vote NO on HB445, the proposed legislation that would prohibit the sale of hemp-infused beverages in grocery stores, convenience stores, bars, and restaurants across Alabama.

This bill poses a serious threat to small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the state. Hemp-infused beverages are part of a rapidly growing market that represents not only innovation in the beverage and wellness industries but also a meaningful source of income for local producers, retailers, and hospitality businesses. Removing these products from the shelves would disrupt countless livelihoods and send a discouraging message to current and future entrepreneurs.

At a time when Alabama should be cultivating an environment of forward-thinking, pro-business policy, HB445 is a step in the wrong direction. Our state has the opportunity to be a leader in responsible, modern commerce—not one that stifles growth out of fear or misinformation.

Legislation like HB445 hinders economic development, limits consumer choice, and pushes progressive, opportunity-rich industries out of state. I believe we can—and must—do better. We need policy that supports responsible innovation and recognizes the value of entrepreneurship as a driving force in Alabama’s cultural and economic future.

Please stand with Alabama’s business owners, entrepreneurs, and forward-looking citizens by voting NO on HB445.

Even Easier.

Thanks to a loyal friend for going through the records and creating a spreadsheet for us with locations represented and email addresses. Find your local Alabama state senator in the list, and let them hear from you.

Vote NO on HB445. Support sensible legislation - hemp just wants a fair shake.
Let’s keep hemp in Alabama.

Thank you!
